We know a lot of parents are already thinking about their child’s move to secondary school in September 2026 as the application process starts at the beginning of Year 6.  You will get more information about the process in Year 6, but there are lots of Open Evenings in September and October which Year 5 parents and children can attend to start to get some idea about which schools you like for next year.

Here is our list of Secondary School Open Days that we know about, so you can make a note in your diary to see your favourites (some of which you need to book in advance). We would strongly encourage you to take the opportunity to visit in person to see if the school is suitable for your child and their needs.
