Breakfast and After School Clubs

SCPS offer a Breakfast Club and an After School Club to help parents/carers with wrap-around childcare for their primary school age children.

Both clubs run every school day (Monday to Friday, term time only) in the School Hall.

Please remember to book your child into After School Club.  We allow ‘on the day’ booking but we are still seeing significant numbers of children turn up without a booking. This causes us problems with ensuring appropriate staffing levels and catering.  We may consider higher fees for children who are not booked in.

Breakfast Club (BC) times are from 7:30am to 8:50am (start of school)

After School Club (ASC) times are from 3.20pm (end of school) to 6pm.

Fees

Breakfast Club – daily charge including breakfast

7:30am onwards £5.50 per child

After School Club – daily charge including a hot meal after 4pm

3.20pm – 4pm £4 per child

3.20pm – 6.00pm £13 per child

For details about the meals provided see the After school club menu Terms 3 & 4 2023/24

How to book

You MUST use MCAS to book your child into a session, as it is important for us to know whether your child is expected to attend, not only for catering purposes but more importantly for their own safety. Only children booked into the club in advance will be able to attend.

The cut off time for booking Breakfast Club is 10.00pm the evening before, and the cut off time for booking After School Club is 1.00pm on the same day.

*  Should your child need to attend either club in an emergency, please call 0118 972 2105 or email office@sonning-common.oxon.sch.uk to see whether we can accept them. Do not just turn up without calling us first!

*  If you need to contact the ASC after 4.00pm please ring 07405 501618.

*  If you have any queries regarding Breakfast or After School Club, please contact the school office on 0118 972 2105 or email office@sonning-common.oxon.sch.uk

* Our link governor for breakfast and after school club is Stephen Burrows.
