Strategy Committee

The Strategy Committee has a watching brief to discuss items which affect the school in a more general way than those covered by the specific committees (Curriculum, Finance, Personnel etc.). It also aims to try and plan for things which might affect the school in the future.  Some of the areas covered by the Strategy Committee include:

  • The school brochure.
  • The maintenance of the School Profile.
  • Overview of the School Development Plan.
  • Developing a coherent approach to its green ambitions. This includes reviewing the school’s energy needs and the options that are available to both reduce these and improve the school’s environmental footprint.
  • Creation and analysis of the Parent’s Survey – the drawing up of any actions arising from the survey. The survey has proved invaluable to the Governors over the last few years and gives us a great insight into the way parents view the school.
  • Childrens’ Questionnaire – gathering the views and frustrations of our most important people.
  • Village development – engaging with the local community, and ensuring the school has a voice in issues that will affect the school in the future.
  • Promoting the school – through local media and organisations.
