Regular members of the Upper KS2 choir (plus a couple of added boys to even up the numbers), were invited to lend their talents to a professional recording this afternoon – for Gaz Coombes (ex-Supergrass). Whilst producer Ian Davenport was setting up his mobile studio in the Computer Suite, the children warmed up with ‘World in Union’ and flexed their voices.

Ian then played them some verses from Gaz’s latest album track, which required a children’s choir to top off the vocals. The children responded magnificently with their own beautiful take on the six-line chorus. It really was a superb experience.

Such is the way of things that the album will not see the light of day until next Spring, but after final mixing the choir’s voices are very likely to feature on the record.
